Tour Route Revision

Taking the southern route out of BC and across the Prairies

We have chosen to go on a more southerly route.  Even though we cannot show it as Google Maps will not "take us there", we plan to cross on the ferry at Manitoulin Island to Tobermory.  Has anyone done all or part of this route on their bike?  What was your experience?  Do you have any alternative suggestions?

On a future blog, we plan to talk about our bikes, seats, gear cassettes, shifters/derailleurs, rims/tires...  We would like your input and, of course, good advice.
